Before Jase left last night Grandma Taufer stopped in to find Boo still sleeping. He was one tired little guy! He did wake up while Jase was gone getting some dinner and was a little confused. He seemed alert and awake but he thought he was still waiting for the surgery. It was cute. I pointed out what time it was and it slowly sunk in that the day had passed and he was done.
The night went well. He slept really well, not many interruptions.
He got up for the first time today and he was sore! He was a trooper and made it to the restroom and back to the bed. We're working on getting him to eat. Once he can eat and keep it down, walk and have good pain control we can go home. We're not rushing it.
We'll see how the day goes.

I just love that picture of Grandma Taufer looking at Nathanael with Trenton (is that him?) in the picture too. The smile on her face is complete adoration for that sweet little boy in the bed.
His giraffe is cute too. Love the name!! (smile)
Hope it is a smooth and speedy recovery.
We are so glad that the surgery went well and that Nathanael seems to be in such great spirits. The kids said that they felt bad for all the tubes in his arm and that he looked so happy for just having surgery. We love you buddy and are praying for you and your family! Love you!-Neel's
